Empowering Host Communities, Supporting Cultural Exchange
What's a Community Support Group (CSG)?
Community Support Groups are designed to support Summer Work Travel (SWT) exchange visitors by helping ensure a safe, positive, and successful experience while they temporarily live and work within the local community. These groups foster a welcoming environment that promotes comfort and a sense of belonging. In addition, they work to identify local challenges and recurring concerns, develop solutions, and organize educational forums to inform community members and employers about the Summer Work Travel program.
who we are
Community Support Group National (CSG National) is an organizing initiative of J-1 visa sponsor organizations, the U.S. Department of State, and American host communities who embrace and support the U.S. Department of State’s BridgeUSA Summer Work Travel Program.
Community Support Groups help exchange visitors feel safe, welcome, and at home while living and working in local communities. They also identify challenges, create solutions, and host events to educate communities and businesses about the Summer Work Travel program – making the experience better for everyone.
